UK Master Fitter Competition 2012
About
The UK Master Fitter Competition is being held to promote, demonstrate and recognise the high levels of skill and talent that exist in today’s automotive glazing industry.
It provides the ideal opportunity for Automotive Glazing Technicians across the UK to showcase their skills and abilities by taking part in a specially designed, practically based, industry specific competition.
The competition will show how much the automotive glazing industry has developed in recent years, in line with changes to technology, and how the on-going development of new skills is crucial in order that the industry keeps up with these changes to raise standards of performance and remain competitive.
The competition promotes world class skills and will offer significant benefits for those who either enter or support it. It will provide an ideal vehicle to not only promote, but also to gain recognition for, the exceptional skills and talent that exist in our automotive glazing industry.The competition was run for the first time in 2010 and the UK final was held at the Millennium Stadium as part of a 3 day Welsh Skills and Career Event. In 2011, the UK Master Fitter was help on the first day of Worldskills UK on the 4th October 2011.
